Notary Services
Notary – Used for legal documents to ensure that you are the person signing the document, that you are not being forced into signing, and that you understand what you are signing. In all cases, all signers, and any required witness(es) must be present for the notarization. You’ll need to bring acceptable ID along with all pages of the document being notarized.
- Wills, contracts, testimonials, loan or property agreements, powers of attorney and any requested changes to official legal documents.
When you arrive, the Notary will review your document(s) to determine the notarization requirements and whether we are able to complete the notarization.
Notary Information
- Cumberland County FCU offers Notary Services at no charge for those who have an account or a continuing relationship with the credit union for at least 6 months.
- Notary Locations – Gray, Portland, Westbrook, Windham & Yarmouth

Medallion Signature Guarantees
Medallion Signature Guarantee (MSG) – Used for financial documents and is required by federal law. Its purpose is to prove the person’s identity as well as ownership and value of the securities involved in a transaction.
- Sale or transfer physical securities certificates (stocks), bonds, or other financial assets.
- Changing the ownership name on an investment account, as in the case of marriage
- Gifting stocks to another individual
Medallion Signature Guarantee Information
- Cumberland County FCU offers Medallion Signature Guarantees appointments at no charge for those who have an account or a continuing relationship with the credit union for at least 6 months.
- Cumberland County FCU Medallion signature limit – $500,000

- Helpful but not required – A copy of financial document(s) sent via a secure email to medallion@myccfcu.com with subject line as ATTN: your name
- For phone or email requests, a representative will contact you within 1-business day to discuss and schedule your request
